Development and comprehensive utilization of resources, for this sector includes six companies: New Business Development Company, Gangyuan Furnace Material Company, Qinglong Furnace Material Company, Tang Long (Tang’ang) Company, Harsco (Tangshan) Company, and Strong Refractory Company. The main activities include: using of renewable resources, metal packaging, coal chemical products, producing and sale of lime, pellets, slag powder, slag processing, refractories and other products.

Harsco(Tangshan)Company is a JV company established by New Business Development Company of HBIS Tangsteel and Harsco(China) Group, it mainly covers slag treatment, slag processing and comprehensive utilization for Hesteel Tangsteel.

The company can process slag of 1.17 million tons of  HBIS Tangsteel, in addition to returns the processed scrap to HBIS Tangsteel, its main task is to use foreign new technology to develop tailings (slag) products. Slag utilization of existing products: Class A scrap, Class B scrap, High-grade slag surface, Medium grade slag surface, Low-grade slag surface, slag roadbed material. Slag comprehensive utilization rate reached 100%.
